Students will explore various artistic mediums like drawing, painting, sculpting, and collage, using materials such as clay, watercolor, chalk pastel, recycled paper, and acrylics to create diverse compositions. The curriculum includes studying famous artists, cultural folk art from different continents, and drawing inspiration from children's book illustrators, challenging students to create something new while learning techniques from master artists.
All student artwork, including beautifully painted and sometimes glittery pieces, is showcased in a spectacular end-of-year art exhibit for friends and family. Additionally, throughout the school year, your child's creations will be digitally uploaded to Artsonia.com, an online children's art gallery, where they can be purchased, and a portion of sales supports the annual art showcase, with all original artwork returned after the event unless otherwise requested.
